SE is a holistic approach used in therapy to release traumatic energy and stress held in the body.

Developed by Peter A. Levine, PhD, SE is a psychobiological method for resolving anxiety, stress, and trauma symptoms.

SE helps reset the nervous system and release trauma held in the body, helping you feel less anxious, less stressed, and more present throughout your day.

SE works with all ages of individuals. SE enhances resilience, increases emotional self-discovery, increases people’s vitality, and activates your natural healing impulses to create more capacity to actively engage in life.

Trauma Informed Art Therapy

Includes many concepts unique to the practice of expressive therapy.

Trauma Informed Art Therapy integrates neurodevelopmental knowledge and sensory qualities of the arts (Malchiodi, 2012).  This approach takes into account, the following 1) how the mind and body respond to traumatic events; 2) symptoms are adaptive coping strategies NOT pathology; 3) emphasis on cultural sensitivity and empowerment; and 4) helping to move individuals from being not only survivors, but "thrivers" through skill building, support networks & resilience development (Malchiodi, 2012).

Clinical Hypnotherapy

An adjusted state of awareness, perception or consciousness used by a licensed and trained masters level individual

It is a trance-like state of focus and concentration achieved with the help and support of a clinical hypnotherapist. This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, song, art or even one’s own thoughts.

In this state, clients can turn their attention inward to find and utilize their potential and natural resources within themselves that will help make changes in certain areas of their life.

Hypnotherapy can be used to treat anxiety, fears, smoking cessation and stress. It can be used to help improve sleep, communication styles and aid in pain management.
