About BBH
Bringing Baby Home (BBH) workshop is a research-based and research tested psychoeducational workshop dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. BBH workshops prepare couples for life with a baby and help them be the best parenting team possible. In a relaxed and supportive environment, parents learn to strengthen their relationship and foster baby’s development.
Developed by renowned relationship and parenting experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman, well known for decades of leading-edge scientific research on couples, child development and transition to parenthood.
Dr. Gottman and colleagues found the best predictor of marital adjustment after a new baby arrives is the quality of friendship in the marriage or partnership. When babies grow up in a home with a positive, playful parenting team, they feel safe and nurtured and available to learn. Babies cry less, they smile more, and their parents’ cooperation helps them to pay better attention during playtime.

The workshop is best taken before or during pregnancy (preferably second trimester), but it can be taken any time after baby is born.

Couples attend a single intensive weekend on a Saturday and Sunday, for 6 hours total each day.
